- What does NATA stand for?

The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) measures the aptitude of the person for Architectural studies. The test measures drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking ability, mathematics desired to pursue Bachelor of Architecture. - What is the eligibility to appear for NATA?

Candidates may come from the following backgrounds:

1. 10+2 or equivalent passed/appearing with Mathematics as one of the subjects of examination;

2. 10+3 Diploma (any stream) passed/appearing recognized by Central/State Govt. with Mathematics as one of the subjects of examination;

3. International Baccalaureate Diploma passed/appearing, after 10 years of Schooling with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination.

However, if any candidate is applying for B.Arch then he/she must have cleared senior secondary (10+2) examination with mathematics as one of the subjects or equivalent examination and secured minimum 50% aggregate in 10+2.

- Who should appear in NATA?

Any person who wishes to take admission to Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) shall appear in NATA, since most of the colleges/ school of Architecture take admission on the basis of NATA. However, there are various other methods adopted by some Schools of Architecture for the admission of B.Arch. For further details, the respective website of Colleges/ Schools of Architecture shall be visited. - What are the major changes in the NATA 2018?
